Perthshire Artisans Call Out for New Creatives Open

Perthshire Artisans, the curated platform for the region’s creative talent is open to applications from creatives living and/or working in Perth & Kinross.

Developed by specialist rural enterprise experts GrowBiz, Perthshire Artisans promotes the region’s diverse range of creative talent, enabling local artists and creatives to find new markets as well as providing business support and a community amongst the members themselves. This year there is also the opportunity to take part in exclusive exhibitions and events.

The site which currently features 34 diverse, carefully curated creatives from across the region with a varied selection of over 500 artworks, is looking to further develop and welcomes applications from creatives running a part or full time creative business and working in any medium.

Caron Ironside, GrowBiz project lead for Perthshire Artisans said: “Perth & Kinross is bursting with original and exciting creativity.  As a Perthshire Artisan local creatives and artists running as a business have the opportunity to be part of a unique community, feel supported, know they can reach out at any time to get help with any part of their creative practice.

“The platform also offers additional promotional and e-commerce support as well as uniquely organised opportunities to take part in. We’re excited to welcome new artists and makers to join.”

Perthshire Artisans is a dedicated platform that promotes the ‘Slow Economy and Sustainability’ movement, whilst also providing easy access to Perthshire’s creativity. Artisans enjoy the support and potential to share their creations with audiences both locally and further afield and have a choice of different membership options to choose from when submitting their application.

“It’s great to feel part of a community of like minded people who understand the challenges of working as a creative and benefit from the recognition that comes with being a Perthshire Artisan.”
