The First Minister’s Start Up Challenge

The First Minister’s Start Up Challenge is a national initiative delivered in partnership with Dechomai and The King’s Trust, designed to support young people aged 18–30 from underrepresented backgrounds across Scotland to explore entrepreneurship and develop their own business ideas.

The programme offers a six-month journey of structured support, including workshops, masterclasses, mentoring, and access to funding opportunities.
