What is Learning at Work Week?

Learning at Work Week is a national campaign that aims to promote a learning culture, stimulate curiosity and engage employees in learning. This year, it takes place from 13th - 19th May on the theme 'Shaping the Future'. It’s not prescriptive in any way, it’s just a great opportunity to shout about all the great learning opportunities at your work and learn how other workplaces learn.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Changing attitudes to learning and work

  • More positive and improved perceptions of learning and development both at business and individual level, increased motivation and productivity

  • Greater awareness of opportunities to learn

  • Employees switched back onto learning and motivated, increased take up of learning and development opportunities

  • Opportunities to discover and recognise internal talent

  • Drawing on employees own knowledge, passions and interests to create engaging activities and wider sharing and collaboration in the workplace

  • Greater recognition and valuing of different ways to learn in the workplace

  • Highlighting business priorities, agendas and addressing change

The Campaign for Learning believes in the power of lifelong learning to drive positive change - and at GrowBiz - we totally agree!

We regularly run learning sessions - either face to face throughout Perth & Kinross, or online so you can join in from anywhere. Have a look at all our upcoming learning sessions and book your free place here.

This week, why not share how you fit in learning while running a business on social media using the #LearningatWorkWeek and don't forget to tag us - @Grow_Biz too!
