With much of Scotland now under Level 4 restrictions, more businesses have become eligible for grants under the Strategic Business Framework Fund. Perth and Kinross Council have now published details of how the fund will be administered.
Note that the fund has two sections, and the Business Restrictions Grant is NOT applicable in Tier 4 as all eligible businesses will now fall into the Temporary Closure Grant section of the fund.
The Temporary Closure Grant offers the following:
£2,000 for premises with a rateable value up to and including £51,000
£3,000 for premises with a rateable value of over £51,000
An upper limit of £15,000 in total in any four-week period will apply to any eligible business operating multiple premises.
Businesses required to close by law as part of the tier system are eligible for grant funding. The grant is payable for every four weeks for the duration the protective measures to close the business apply.
You should apply to this fund if you were eligible in Level 3 but didn’t apply, if you applied in Level 3 but were unsuccessful, or if you were not eligible in Level 3 but are eligible in Level 4.
Perth and Kinross Council are urging eligible businesses to apply as soon as possible. You can do so here: https://www.pkc.gov.uk/sfbusinessfund
If you’ve already successfully applied for either section of the Strategic Business Framework Fund, or have applied and are awaiting a decision, then there’s no need to reapply, as Perth & Kinross Council will automatically alter grant amounts to reflect the new changes. The altered grant payment will be paid on 25th January 2021 as scheduled.
If you are outwith the Perth and Kinross Council area you can find information on these grants for your local authority area here.
