Put your Dreams into Practice at our two-part Kinross Workshop

Tracie Dick of Tartan Ted at Nest

‘Dreams into Practice’ is a two-session learning event, aimed at people who would like to explore whether they can transform their talents and skills into a business; or those who would like to use their talents and skills in a more business-like way.

Sessions are Monday 8th and 15th October 2018 from 10.15 a.m. - 4.15 p.m. Booking your place on the 8th assumes attendance on 15th also.

The two days will mix short ‘info-bursts’ with practical and creative exercises.  Your worksheets and notes will be a valuable source of information for further exploration.

On the first day, we will concentrate on marketing.  Who is your customer?   How can you convince your customers to buy your goods or services?  Who are your competitors?

On the second day we will look at pricing.  How do you calculate your price? What else do you need to prepare the financial side of a business plan?  You will be guided through a series of exercises – no need to be proficient at maths! Bring a calculator.

The workshops will be delivered by Trudy Duffy.  Trudy has lived in Scotland for over 20 years. After a career teaching tourism she, together with business partner Mhairi, started ‘The Peacock and The Tortoise’, a patchwork and haberdashery shop in the centre of Perth.  Previously, Trudy worked for the Dutch equivalent of Scottish Enterprise as a senior consultant for training and education.  Having taught business planning to a variety of people and businesses she is keen to use her experience to facilitate a new generation of entrepreneurs.
