GrowBiz XChange network evenings are informal and friendly events open to all – and a great opportunity to meet other local businesses and hear from experts in their field. The evening will kick off at 6.00pm with a buffet and networking.
At our May XChange we'll hear from experts around the theme "Digital Creatives".
Douglas Simpson of Full Course Trails has a passion for being creative in the outdoors. Combining his skills as a photographer and audio engineer with his commercial drone pilot license he provides aerial services to promote and showcase the outdoors. With a background in trail and mountain running Douglas has the ability to get to those hard to reach locations, to capture the shot you need for your project.
He has also recently launched 16 Prints website selling limited edition prints where 16% of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
Charlotte Brayley graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2006, with a fine arts degree in Environmental Art and Sculpture. Whilst at the GSA she found fame whilst doing a project involving spray-painting her pet sheep (no harm came to those pet sheep!) to protect them from the big cats in Scotland! Sheep feature throughout her work. Her illustrations have been described as “nostalgic”,”calming”, and “created with love”. She is influenced by children’s books from the 30’s-60’s along with her menagerie, past and present. One of her family is Alan; her pet Suffolk sheep, who last year, became a social media phenomenon! Charlotte will share her story of how using her social media posts of ASheepCalledAlan has created an online audience for her artworks. https://www.facebook.com/charlottebrayleyartist/
