Get Creative with GrowBiz

This month, we have events which we think will be of interest to many or our clients and in particular appeal to those of you who work in the creative sector.

Join us on Tuesday 5th February for our East Perthshire Women's Enterprise Network at The Dome, Blairgowrie. We will be joined by Aberdeen-based Shelagh Swanson, a fully fledged member of Scotland’s creative industries, and an artist with a clear commercial vision. Shelagh broke the family farming mould when she went south to Aberdeen to study painting at Gray’s School of Art, and says "My story is a realistic one, one that I hope many women can relate to – I dared to follow my passion and it worked – I hope that when people hear my story they’ll be inspired to think, ‘If she can do that, why can’t I?'”

On 21st February, our Strathearn Women's Enterprise Network at Hettie's Tearoom in Pitlochry, welcomes award-winning gin distiller Helen Stewart of Badvo Distillery, Pitlochry. Helen's fascination with distilling started when she worked in a local whisky distillery and after reading about her family's own distilling history she decided to give it a go herself.

And on 27th February, we bring together our Creatives Peer Support Groupat Wellmeadow Cafe, Blairgowrie. This is a supportive, informal and confidential forum for anyone involved in the creative services sector to share information, experiences and ideas. We're delighted to welcome Caron Ironside of Perthshire Creates  at this session. As well as working on her own creative interests, Caron works part time with the Culture Perth & Kinross team to support the creative sector in the area.
