Business Barometer Survey 2: Following the first Business Barometer that was issued in May, the Perth and Kinross Covid-19 Business Support Task Force would like to gather additional information about the effects of Covid-19 on your business and the subsequent changes you have made. The information will be used to inform the local Economic Recovery Plan and how future business support will be provided. Take the survey here. Economic Wellbeing Plan for Perth and Kinross: The Covid-19 Business Support Task Force has the Draft Economic Wellbeing Plan for Perth and Kinross for consultation. Self Employment Income Support Scheme, Meaning of ‘Adversely Affected’: A key condition for claiming the SEISS grants is that the business must be adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This article explains what that means and what records you should keep. If you are unsure of your eligibility please contact us for help. Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers Autumn Talks: The first Autumn Talk is on Tues 1 September at 11am and is entitled LEADERSHIP, RECOVERY AND OPPORTUNITIES and Malcolm Roughead OEB, Chief Executive of VisitScotland, will participate. The one-hour webinar format will be based around 2 or 3 presentations followed by a Questions & Answer session open to all participants and will be free to ASSC members. Find out more here. Grassroots Music Venue Stabilisation Fund: The new funding support for Scottish grassroots music venues affected by Covid-19 is now open for applications. Community Owned Businesses - Making it Easy: This online event is organised by Co-operative Development Scotland, Community Shares Scotland and the Plunkett Foundation with the aim of simplifying support for community enterprises. More and more communities across Scotland are taking ownership of businesses such as shops and pubs—sign up to this event on Wed, 2 September at 10am here to find out how. Introduction to Crowdfunding and Community Shares: Community Shares Scotland is teaming up with Crowdfund Scotland to deliver this online workshop on Wed, 9 September at 2pm, providing a comprehensive introduction to crowdfunding, community shares, and the support available from both organisations. Record Keeping for the Self-Employed: Whether you use cash basis or traditional accounting, this webinar from HMRC covers how to set up a record system, typical records you should keep, the advantages of accurate records and how long to keep them. Food Share Network: The Food Share Network will help community groups across Perth and Kinross set up community food initiatives that use surplus food which would otherwise go to waste. As examples, these groups may wish to hold cooking classes, run community fridges and larders, community lunches or cafes. If you are interested then please get in touch. Crowdfund Scotland: Crowdfunding For Covid-19 Resilience: The Crowdfund Scotland team are running a workshop aimed at businesses who want to learn more about Crowdfunding to help their businesses during Covid-19 on Wed, 2 September at 3pm. Destressing Naturally Event by Strathearn Living Well: The next Strathearn Living Well free session starts at 2pm on Wed, 2 September for an hour at Macrosty Park, Crieff. Nexus Talk - Intellectual Property Stategy for Business: Hear from Dr Kate Macdonald, patent and design attorney practice director at Capella IP Ltd, as she explains how using IP as a business tool can empower innovators, improve credibility and create a competitive edge. Taking place on Thurs 3 September, 2pm. Dundee Flagship Accelerator: The next Dundee Flagship Accelerator kicks off on Mon 7 September. The fully-funded 12-week programme will provide those who have ideas with real potential with the practical support they need to turn this into reality. The programme is aimed at pre-start, existing and growth businesses who want to fast-track their business offering, growth and investment potential. Find out more here. InGame Insights: in-conversation event series from Creative Dundee: At each evening event, 3 inspiring panelists from the city and beyond will be in-conversation to bring their perspectives about all things relating to creativity, business, access and leadership. Creative Peer Support Group: This Facebook group by GrowBiz is open to anyone running a creative business or working in the creative sector.
