Perth and Kinross Social Enterprise Meeting

Our guest speaker is Ray Banks from Firstport, who are not only a funder for social enterprise (Start It, Build It, Boost It funds) but also offers support to help you take your enterprise forward. Applications to Firstport from social enterprises in Perth & Kinross are increasing, come along and get some tips on how to make a great application, with an opportunity to ask questions.

Over the past few months we have held a series of focus groups to look at what support is needed and wanted by the social enterprise community in Perth & Kinross. There have been some great conversations and a conclusion was drawn that a network is both wanted and needed.  The 4 priority actions are:

1. Promote the network more widely and encourage membership
2. Put together a meeting/events plan
3. Investigate the resources required for promotion of a network and the social enterprises’ services
4. Identify a membership model for the network.

The network is now at an exciting stage of being able to make some decisions on how to proceed and there will be an opportunity for further discussion and input at the meeting.
