GrowBiz XChange Networking Event, St Madoes
Time & Location
About the Event
Our XChange events are informal and friendly - open to all – and a great opportunity to meet other local businesses. The evening will start at 6.00pm with a buffet and networking followed by our speakers - and feel free to bring along any friends who are thinking about setting up or growing a business.
At the October XChange Networking Event we'll hear from a panel of speakers including:
Rebecca Dawes who'll share the latest news on the LEADER-funded Rural Youth Project and what it plans to do over the next 12 to 14 months. She'll also explain how the GrowBiz XChange Network attendees can get involved in the Rural Youth Project.
Rebecca is a Director of the Rural Youth Project which was launched in August 2019 by founders Jane Craigie and Rebecca Dawes. A movement for positive change to empower young people (18 to 28 years of age), the project develops leadership, business and enterprise skills, whilst encouraging positive activism so young people can play their part in making rural places attractive and viable for them and their peers to build their lives and their futures.
She works full-time for Jane Craigie Marketing, a public relations agency specialising in the agricultural and rural sector and was formerly Communications and Rural Affairs Manager for the Scottish Association of Young Farmers. Rebecca is a farmer’s daughter (family farm based in Kinross) and a graduate of the Scottish Enterprise Rural Leadership Programme and has a degree in Events Management.
Alana Black a Rural Youth Project vlogger originally from Australia who recently moved to Scotland.
