GrowBiz on Tour!

GrowBiz went ‘on tour’ last month to deliver a 2-day session to support and enhance part of The Prince’s Trust 12 week team programme. Attended by a group of 18 – 23 year olds, the programme aims to support all aspects of employability. The GrowBiz team took the opportunity to introduce self-employment as a positive destination and explore the young people’s skills, confidence, entrepreneurial ambition and ideas.

The 2 days were inspiring for our team and they thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the group, sharing their own self employment journeys and helping the individuals understand their own skills, interests and how this knowledge can help shape their futures. The days were fully interactive and the YMCA team room provided the perfect space to allow the group to create, design, collaborate and share.

Supported by team-lead Matthew Dellaquaglia, Ashley and Clair pushed the individuals and the group to make the most of the chance to learn something new and use their new found skills and confidence to present their business development ideas back. The result was amazing!

The individuals now have the opportunity to continue being supported by GrowBiz through the SEED programme, which can provide ongoing engagement, learning, one to one input and access to funding.
