About Enterprising Eastern Perthshire

Enterprising Eastern Perthshire is a community based project, supported by a panel of local people, running under the name of Growbiz.

This 2½ year pilot project is funded through Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Government, as well as by local sponsors and the local authority.

The Project helps people in the Eastern Perthshire area (Blairgowrie and district) realise their dreams to start their own business or grow an existing enterprise. This service is also available to local community groups looking at improving their marketing or financial planning.

The project uses methods developed by Ernesto Sirolli, founder of the Sirolli Institute www.sirolli.com which has been successful at helping people create businesses in their local communities across the world. This method employs a facilitator supported by a panel of local volunteers (business people, community representatives and networkers, among others) which takes Sirolli's idea that the solutions to problems can be found within the community.

Fiona McPhail, our Enterprise Facilitator, is an experienced businesswoman and also has extensive skills in mentoring clients. She would be delighted to set up a meeting at a time and place to suit you.
